Wellmeadow Lodge is an established and welcoming care home in a quiet and leafy part of Newton Mearns, south west of Glasgow. Our experienced and caring team provides round-the-clock residential, nursing and respite care for older people, including those with physical disabilities. We also offer specialist care for older people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, plus supportive and sensitive end of life care.
Each of our residents receives care that’s personalised to their unique needs, life stories and interests. We meet every resident before they move in, so that we can start getting to know them straight away. They’re also invited to lunch before they make a final decision so they can meet our team and other residents and make sure that they will feel entirely at home here.
Wellmeadow Lodge is our residents’ home, so we want to be sure that they have plenty of opportunity to give us their feedback on what they like and what needs improving. We hold monthly meetings with residents and their families so that everyone is kept informed.
The recently refurbished Dunkeld suite, on the first floor of our Glasgow care home, provides round-the-clock nursing care. The suite offers en-suite bedrooms, as well as a fully equipped bathroom and wet room for residents who need help with bathing.
The Dunkeld suite also has a bright, airy and spacious open plan dining and lounge area and there’s even a new kitchen for residents who want to make their own drinks and snacks.
As well as having dedicated nursing and care staff, the new suite has activity coordinators who keep residents busy, active and engaged with a variety of enjoyable daily group and one-to-one activities all based around residents’ interests and hobbies.
