Tiltwood is an attractive and very welcoming care home located in a quiet lane just behind the high street in Cobham, Surrey. We provide personalised residential, respite and day care for older people, including individuals with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
Our friendly and experienced team supports every resident and day guest to do as much as they can for themselves. Many residents love to help out around the home and the garden, and this is something we actively encourage. Our day club is very much a part of the home – we see ourselves as one community and provide plenty of opportunities for residents and day guests to socialise and take part in activities together.
Tiltwood combines modern facilities with character and charm - part of the home is a listed Edwardian building. Our rooms and living areas are very homely and we have lots of patio doors to make it easy for residents, day guests and visitors to make the most of our beautiful grounds.
Residents’ rooms are very comfortable, with stylish furniture, television connection points and a 24-hour nurse call system. Each of our five suites includes a lounge and a dining room, plus a kitchenette and a ‘cosy corner’ which is arranged like a family sitting room. We also have an activity room, a contemplation room and our own hairdressing salon.
Our grounds are secure and very spacious, with several interconnected gardens that residents and visitors can wander freely around. Each of our suites includes patio doors which open onto the gardens. You’ll also find doors to the gardens along the corridors which connect the old part of the building to the newer areas.
Tiltwood is a single-storey care home and both the home and garden are fully wheelchair accessible.
Our well-equipped day club is located in a spacious hall in the Edwardian part of our building. The day club is open from 10am to 4pm on weekdays, but we can also accept day guests outside these times and even on weekends – just let us know what your requirements are and we will always try to accommodate them.
Day club members are referred to us by Esher Social Services, who will be able to provide you with more information about how to obtain a day club place. Or feel free to give us a call to find out more.
